Our Design
At Crown Medical Orthotics, we’re deeply committed to advancing orthotic care, driven by the knowledge and vision of our founders, Dr. Abbie Najjarine and Adam Najjarine. Dr. Abbie brings over thirty years of Lower Limb Biomechanics experience as a respected Australian podiatrist, working closely with his brother Adam, an experienced Orthotic Technician. Together, they have significantly contributed to the field of orthotics with their innovative designs and thoughtful approaches.
Dr. Abbie’s extensive journey in biomechanical clinics and operating orthotic laboratories since the 1990s has culminated in the creation of what he considers the most superior of his designs so far. He has been at the helm of numerous orthotic inventions. However, it is this latest offering that he regards as the pinnacle of his career.
Crown Medical Orthotics plays a key role in helping practitioners choose the right orthotic density. This decision is based not only on biomechanical conditions but also considers patient weight and applied forces. For instance, a 90 kg patient with an FPI of +4 may benefit from a medium-strength orthotic (Orange EEVA), offering both elasticity and control. Similarly, a 45 kg patient with an FPI of +12 could also benefit from the same medium density. Conversely, a 130 kg patient with an FPI of +8 requires a firm CMO (Blue EEVA).
A noteworthy feature is the high medial flange designed to address midstance issues, often overlooked in conventional orthotics. Practitioners are encouraged to use slow-motion videos to observe Talonavicular joint bulging during midstance to toe-off. This design enhancement is present in all density options of the Crown Medical Orthotics.
